Constructed for the Trailer Train Company in the early 1970s, the F68 DH was built at Bethlehem Steel's Johnstown, Pennsylvania facility. An initial batch of 20 cars was producted, making them some of the first to wear the newly introduced yellow TTX paint scheme. Designed for versatility, these 100-ton flatcars featured wooden decks and side sill stake pockets, allowing them to handle a wide range of heavy loads.
Many of these cars are still in service today, frequently used in steel plate service. Oley Valley Railcar offers a steel plate load (available separately) complete with prototype-style banding for enhanced realism.
The Oley Valley Railcar model depicts the cars as they were originally guilt, carrying the reporting marks TTMX.
